New Legislation in PA

Pennsylvania has passed a new law that targets the larger puppy mills. This law will require that dogs with commercial breeders will need to have dogs examined at least twice a year by a vet, be held in larger cages and be given time to exercise. Pennsylvania has quite the reputation as a puppy mill state. Some other states are trying to create legislation that will protect dog born to commercial breeders.

I find it unfortunate that in this day of age of "free range" chickens, that larger cages for dogs needs to be legislated. Where are the "free range" dogs? Again, I would encourage anyone who is interested in a dog to go to the local pound.
