Vote for the first dog

So the Obama family's first order of business is to find a family dog.....the AKC site has set up a link where you can vote on the type of dog you think they should consider. It does seem that the President-elect is leaning toward a dog from a shelter.....good choice, says I, who came to live with my family via a shelter. presidentialpup.com

The Search in on...."the first dog"

Now that Barack Obama has won the election, the search for the first dog has commenced. Dogs in need of homes will be waiting to see if they are the lucky chosen one. If given the chance, I am sure dogs would love to be able to "run" for this coveted position. Thus far, it seems that the President-elect wants to limit the dog choices to those who are less likely to stimulate the allegies of one of his daughters....I guess that means that Poodles and all the variations of that breed will be in the running.....Goldendoodle, Labradoodle...don't know how many of these breeds are commonly found at shelters and as I have said before, I think the first family would be wise to set a national example by adopting from a shelter....but who am I. I am just a mixed breed that sheds living in the suburbs.....
